About Trab Training Inc.
Trab Training is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We have been in Calgary since 1992. Before Calgary were were based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
In the mid 1980's Trab Training was focused on systems training and supporting companies who required systems training. We focused completely on-site clients and did not offer public courses. With many full time employees and many contractors, we offered both training and documentation services on a wide variety of products.
We started in the area of training where we offered clients training on various PC applications. These included word processing packages, spreadsheet packages, graphics packages, database packages, project management software, various system utilities and operating systems .... Typically we would offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses for these packages.
Because clients were more than pleased with what we had done for them with their applications training we were invited to train on very large enterprise-wide software packages. These included inventory control systems, accounting systems, purchasing systems and order entry systems.
Training work on enterprise-wide software lead to many different types of documentation projects including building User Guides and Policy and Procedure manuals.
As time progressed we moved from doing the training work to supporting those who were getting more involved in doing the training. For example in 1989 we ran our first Train the Trainer class for clients.
Since moving to Calgary we have been involved in various types of support work for organizations. We have helped companies build user guides and training guides, we have built and delivered customized systems courses, and we have helped companies document manufacturing processes and training materials and trained their own trainers on how to deliver the courses. We continue to offer public classes and on-site classes.
